I must not fear

Fear is the mind killer.

Fear arrives like a siren in my chest, a sudden storm in my head, a black flood that tries to drown my thoughts before they can even speak.

It does not merely warn me. It just erases. It turns my mind against itself, and calls my ruin protection.

But I will face my fear.

I must not fear.

I will stand at the threshold of my own breath and let the trembling name itself.

Come then. Show me your shape. Show me where you begin.

I must not fear

Fear is the mind killer.

I will not run.

I will not perform for panic.

I will face you, and I will allow you to pass.

Move over me, and through me.

Like a cold wind through a dark night.

Like a shadow crossing a wall, that does not belong to it.

I do not fear you.

I will turn inward.

I will trace your path, and I will see what you tried to steal from me.

And, when you are gone, when your footsteps fade there will be nothing.

Only silence.

Only breath.

A witness, awaken, unbroken.

Only I will remain.
