The story behind

Mum accompanies a deeply personal letter from Agis to his mother. It speaks of her sacrifices, his love for her and the conversations he wishes they could still have.

“I thought there would be more time.”

That thought runs through the letter: more time to sit together, to listen, to give something back. Alongside the sorrow and regret, a promise begins to emerge. To carry her love forward through the way he lives, treats others and chooses to be present.

The artwork holds that continuing relationship in view. A mother beside her child, accompanying him as he moves through the world.
