Contemporary Art for the Introspective Generation

Ocean

— The Blazing Minds Art Letter — By AGIS

Listen to this letter

As we arrive at the final letter of 2025 — a year that has been deeply challenging for many — I wanted to leave you not with conclusions, or lessons, but with a thought to carry.

Moving forward is rarely comfortable, yet always necessary

We are not here to live inside what we have already outgrown — but to expand into what we are becoming. And if uncertainty and fear appear along the way, it is not because something is changing, but because something is ending.

Khalil Gibran captures this with a poem that inspired this artwork. Carry it with you into what comes next.

It is said that
before entering the sea,
a river trembles with fear,
she looks back
at the path she has travelled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road, crossing
forests and villages,
and in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter there,
seems nothing more
than to disappear forever.

But, there is no other way.
The river can not go back.
Nobody, can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean,
because only then will fear disappear,
because that is where
the river will know,
it is not about disappearing
into the ocean,
but about,
becoming the ocean.

— Khalil Gibran
